R23 Compact System

Description

Three R23 stirred tank reactors are installed in this compact plant and form a single experimental unit. In this way, for example, the inoculum sludge can be run in one fermenter and the trial variations or the substrates in the other two.

• The stirred tank bioreactor R23 with a volume of 23 litres was developed for biogas laboratories in order to carry out fermentation trials with solids.
• The stirrer shaft is additionally guided at the bottom of the fermenter in order to ensure smooth running of the stirrer. The height of the stirrer blades in the fermenter can be set freely; different stirrer blades are available as an option. The connections for substrate feeding and digestate removal are dimensioned at 1 inch here in order to allow problem-free handling.

The fermenter can be closed gas-tight quickly and reliably by means of our tension chain. Prepared 3/4 inch threaded connections allow probes to be mounted both on the base section and on the lid; a shut-off connection for gas discharge is provided on the lid.
